Kegel Exercises?

I’m 21 years old, and 12 weeks along with our first. My hubby and I are working hard to make sure we have a healthy pregnancy. I’ve heard bits and pieces about kegel exercises, but I know very little about them. What are they? What are the benefits of doing them? Thanks for any advice. =)

Kegel Exercises are VERY helpful! WHen you go to the toilet, try and stop your flow of urine.. THATS the Kegel Muscle. Now that you have found it.. do it more often (not just on the toilet) try and HOLD it for a few seconds about 5-10 repititions. Congrats on ur baby. The benefit will be, increased cervix strength, and less likely to tear during labour. Also Massage ur perenial area (the flap of skin beneath the Vagina). Sometimes they may need to cut this in order for your baby to be born. I had a 9 pound 3 baby girl (4.2kg), not ONE tear, no stitches. Good luck
